Jammu, Feb 11 (KNO): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday asked the Speaker to expunge any remarks he made during his reply on budget discussions, if they were found unparliamentary. Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, the CM, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said he regretted the remarks made in the House the previous day. “What I said hurt them. I regret that. But my remarks were directed against them, not against their family members,” he said, adding that Sharma had dragged his grandfather and parents into the issue. Taking a dig at Sharma over his absence from the House, the CM remarked: “We should commend the Army, which is still holding the front despite its general leaving the battleground. I will not leave you in the lurch like your general.” The CM requested the Speaker to expunge any unparliamentary remark made by him during his speech. “If I have made any unparliamentary remark, you can expunge it from the records. I have no objection to it,” he told the chair. He added that he was concerned for the opposition, just as he was concerned for the treasury benches—(KNO)
